In early February, Caliterra once again opened its doors to the community to welcome students from the Municipal School of Palmilla and the Municipal School of El Huique during their summer break. Over 50 people, including children and parents, participated in the field trip.
It started with a safety talk by Matías Solorza, Risk Preventionist, who was followed by Tania Salas, Sustainability Specialist. The field trip was organized as an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and nature, tour the Caliterra facilities, learn about the sustainable management of the vineyard, and see the llamas and sheep who also play an important role in weed control.
Visitors also had a chance to enjoy a walk through the winery’s biological corridors and a talk about the key role of the local flora and fauna and the importance of protecting them.
